Verifying Installation

We manually verify each new website you add to ensure accurate tracking and valid data collection. This verification step is crucial to confirm that your tracking setup is working correctly before visitor data starts flowing into your account.

How Verification Works

  • Manual Review: Each website you add is manually reviewed by our team to confirm its validity and proper tracking setup.

  • Verification Time: The process typically takes anywhere from 5 minutes up to 4 hours, depending on the number of websites in the queue.

  • Email Notification: Once your website is verified, you will receive an email from Scupe confirming that your tracking code is ready to be installed.

Next Steps

After receiving the verification email:

  • Start tracking and identifying your website visitors immediately once the code is installed.

  • Once your website records its first visitor, you’ll receive an email confirming that your website setup is complete and visitor data is working.

Tip: If you do not receive a verification email within 4 hours, check your spam folder or contact support@scupe.ai for assistance.

Where to Install the Scupe Tracking Code

To ensure Scupe identifies the maximum number of visitors, it’s important to place your tracking script correctly on your website. Proper placement ensures faster loading, higher match rates, and more complete identity data.

For best performance, install your Scupe script in the following location:

  • Place the script inside the <head> section of your website.

  • Place it in your global header so it loads on every page across your entire site — not just the homepage.

  • Install it as high in the <head> as possible so the code fires early during page load.

  • Do not place the script in the footer — this may reduce match rates or delay data collection.

Why Global Header Placement Is Critical

Installing Scupe in your global header ensures:

  • Full coverage across your entire website — every landing page, article, product page, and funnel step is tracked.

  • Maximum identity match rates because the script loads immediately regardless of which page visitors enter on.

  • Consistent data accuracy across analytics, workflows, and CRM profiles.

Why Head Placement Is Important

Putting your tracking code in the <head> ensures:

  • Faster activation — Scupe captures visitors even if they bounce quickly.

  • Better compatibility with themes, builders, and plugins.

  • More reliable identity data before other scripts delay page load.
